list software bounce / auto handling - anyone else having problems?

Happy holidays, listers.

Has anyone else had problems with getting their list membership  
disabled for bouncing?

This shouldn't happen often, but someone emailed me this afternoon  
because the confirmation message contained a link that didn't work-  
but more importantly, it was complaining that the last bounce message  
was on the 18th.  It's not supposed to have that long-term a memory-  
only disable your membership if your address bounces for about 3 days  
straight.

I never hear a peep about this sort of stuff, and I've never  
experienced any problems myself- but I did notice recently a huge  
number of people getting disabled on the 20v list all at once...
