Yes, 200 20V

OEM was 215 60 15's. Optional was 225 50 16. The 225 50 16 is .2 shorter
than stock. 215 55 16's are .2 bigger than stock in diameter.

Tires I have now (225 55 16's)are .7 larger, but due to width and height
ended up with a interference problem on outer edges in rear (with load).

215/55-16 Should work.

That's a C3 chassis.  Most C3s came with 195/65-15 didnt they?
That's circumfrally equal to 205/55-16 or 225/50-16, whcih are the same
diameter/circ.
215/55-16 is abotu 1% bigger (no prob in most cases) and increases your
load rating (good).
It is the standard tyre size for C5 A6s and the winter tyre size for C5
S6s.
