Rear Caliper Rebuild

Peter,

since you rebuilt a number of rear calipers I would like to ask you a
question. My hand brake degraded to almost nothing over 3 year period
after calipers were rebuild. First I though that cables have gone loose
but after closer examination I fount that hand brake lever (3 on
http://www.20v.org/brakere.htm) rotates all the way on each caliper but
brake action is almost non-existent.

Is there any quick solution for the problem? Will the rotation of a
piston assembly counter clockwise a quarter turn help restore hand brake
action?
