Oil smoke at idle continued

Gentlemen,

Per previous post (below) and discussions...

Just completed the compression check, not seeing figures that would indicate
a obvious problem.

#1 180
#2 175
#3 190
#4 185
#5 190

As mentioned by others head gasket is a possibility.

Believe the new valve seals would mask a valve guide problem...

Going to attempt to borrow a k24 from my parts source to see if that works.
Just a tad easier and cheaper than checking the head gasket...

Thoughts?

Original post:

Looking for your thoughts on below...

Just finished replacing valve seals, but didn't solve my oil problem. I was
commuting apx 180 rt per day until the end of the summer, didn't have
excessive oil consumption with highway use.

Car emits smoke at cold idle after a little bit. Also noticing that it
occasionally emits smoke under boost. As stated above valve seals were just
replaced!

My assumptions and symptoms:

If valve guides were bad the new seals should mask the problem temporarily.
didn't seem like there was a lot of slop or wear to the naked eye, but also
difficult to move valve with air pressure holding it closed.

Once warm car doesn't seem to smoke that much, except under boost.
Occasionally with extended idle I'll see smoke once warm. Smoke at boost
seems more prevalent in 1-3rd, don't notice in 4th or 5th.

Not seeing smoke on decel or high vacuum situations.

Wondering if turbo seal issue? Not sure if turbo visual inspection will
reveal anything.

Crankcase breather hoses were replaced by PO, seem to be okay, not mushy or
collapsed.

Going to do compression test within the next day or two (I know, follow my
own advice, basics first!!!)

Thoughts???????????????
