Coolant (michael)

I had this problem for a couple of years and then discovered the heater
valve had a very small leak. It drips on the hot bell housing and
evaporates, leaving no trace.

Where does the coolant go in the Winter? Near the end of Winter, the
coolant low warning symbol/beep appears and I am down about a pint in
the reservoir. Where does it go? Had the exhaust gas checked; not
there. No drips on new snow at rest or warm. No scum marks on any
engine parts below a coolant line.

This has been my experience over and over even with the changes of
thermostats. Someone said there were two thermostats for the car.
Does someone have the part number of the warmer one? On the other
hand, my car has not been overheating in the 95F Summer with the AC
on in the city as it did when newer. I am willing to switch
thermostats twice a year if that is the answer.
