Derek-

Anyone out there done this? It was suggested to me by 2Bennett.
Replace the 20v turbo with a stock 10v. I've seen them on ebay uber cheap,
under $120. The 10v will give you a bit more umph as well. Or, search the
junkyards. I came across several, but opted for a big Garett in the end.

Has anybody had a turbo rebuilt, or perhaps done it themselves? Any ideas
on cost and/or time outlay to accomplish the task?

Had my infamous "sit in traffic and idle for twenty minutes then get james
bond smoke screen for a minute afterwards" experience again yesterday. From
what I've read, the argument does seem stronger in favor of turbo than valve
seals for this type of incident.
