Saw slots through the board, parallel with the length of the board, ¼  
“ from the outer edges, 2 on each end of the board, of a depth equal  
to the width of a measuring tape, and wide enough to accept the end  
fitting of the tape, flat wise. Thus a universal fixture, can be used  
in any orientation.
