Fuel Leak/boost relationship

Toward the end of the ski season, when I make a 120-mile daily roundtrip, I was noticing an intermittent lack of higher boost. I'd get 1.4 but no higher occasionally, most often after driving for a fair part of the trip. I was thinking a failing MFTS.

Recently I noticed that I had a fuel drip while the pump was running. It would quit fairly soon after shutdown.

So now that I have replaced the supply and return fuel lines and appear to be relatively dry again regarding fuel drips, I'm getting quicker and better normal boost. Would the drip decrease fuel pressure and would reduced fuel pressure influence boost?
