Righto then, time for some clarity and sanity before we get carried away
I am fitting both type of bar as we kind of concluded in the original posts
I have far too much EMT since, "I just need a little bit for my Bernie
Bar" didn't wash with the gormeless spotty adolescent at the local Home
Depot. since "far too much EMT (8 feet)" cost 10 CAD. I didn't press
the point.
So STRUT brace sorted, albeit not yet fitted and with some leftover
material......
So far the TOWER brace consists of the 2 URS4 brackets (fitted) joined
together by nothing more than a loose collection of ideas centred around
the quattro123.com page, some thick wall steel pipe (as yet un-sourced),
a MIG and an oxy torch.
Ideas are essentially working towards:
No Bending Without Webbing
and
Bolt It To The Bulkhead / Plenum
But since the car is still off the road (in the "Off Road Like a Land
Rover" sense rather than churning up some back country trail) then my
ideas still have some time to congeal.
Hope that helps and sorry for any confusion
