static cam timing/3b engine? (x post)

OK, I am finally putting in my RS2 exhaust cam. On inspection, it looks like my intake cam is retarded one tooth. When looking at the timing marks, the exhaust is spot on, but the intake is "lower" such that if you rotated it clockwise one tooth, it would line up perfectly according to spec.
The question is should I leave cam timing as is, since I understand retarding intake would give me more top end at the expense of some bottom end. Or should I just set to spec on the assumption those Audi engineers are pretty smart folks? Running bigger 2B 24/26K hybrid, and older IA III programming. Thx
Regards,
Jerry
