But first--check the rubber boot surrounding the MFTS and determine
if it's been filling up with coolant due to seepage from the MFTS. If
you find it's wet inside that boot, your gauge malfunction might
possibly be "cured" by drying and cleaning the contacts. In any
event, make sure that you either remove/discard the boot altogether
or at least cut a large "drain hole" on the bottom to prevent future
accumulations.
