OK - There are some difficulties - not insurmountable.
So far I see the boss to mount the Hall/Cam Position sensor is the most involved. It
seems the head for the 3B casting had a boss welded to it or manufactured during
casting. Looks like I'll need to replicate this accurately.
I have the different water manifolds - both engines will actually get the 3B intake.
There needs to be a few additional holes drilled and tapped to move the AAN pump to the
3B block.
Making the AAN into a 3B seems more straight-forward.

the mount for the cam position sensor under the AAN cam gear comes to mind...
also, I believe that the exterior water manifolds
may be different to accomodate the different intake manifolds.
