Folks,
All this talk about 200TQ's for sale has energized me to offer my car to the
list again, but this time I have posted photos of the vehicle on a .Mac web
page to review.
Major issues are: peeling clear coat on the roof only, car has not been
driven for several years and has the electric grounding issue on the speedo
(pulses like a heartbeat), valve cover may need gasket work, A/C has been
temperamental for awhile and may not currently cool, Bose rear speakers need
work, battery dead , tires will need replacing due to age on the hoof (as
opposed to wear), headliner trim in front fallen down.
Positives: Only 80K original miles, one owner since new (me!), have complete
documentation of all repairs, even oil changes, and even the original window
sticker, body is in superior condition for a vehicle of this age, rest of
the paint job is quite good, brakes OK (92 V8 front brake upgrade done early
on), drivetrain fine, engine fine, rack and pinion and power steering pump
have been replaced with new components by dealer, sport seats are in good
shape, sunroof works fine, transmission is fine, lots of fun to drive last
time I did so, trunk is in good condition (no water). Original wheels in
good condition other than brake dust scars. Many other repairs and replaced
components... All documented.
I would like a fair value for what can be a great driver again for the
person ready to embrace the issues. Oh, color is Lago Blue with black
leather interior.

Simply put, I needed to give up daily use of a sedan for business and family
reasons and then bought other vehicles that became more important automotive
assets. I never wanted to part with the car, my second quattro (84 4000Q),
and still drive something in the same vein (04 Touareg).
Please reply here or privately or by phone below,
Thanks,
Geoff Rosenberg
