Oil filters

No, I was just giving you back some S--T for you comment about knowing where
they were made. A long time ago I went to a Rapid Oil Change and they
changed the oil and put on a F**M filter, "Orange". Left on a ski trip in my old
Van, got about 100 miles out of town and the filter literally blew apart and
did some damage to my motor, no oil gauge or light, heard the knock.

To make a long story short the warrantee from Rapid Oil and F**m were
worthless and I never collected a dime. I went as far as taking one of there
filters apart and it was a piece of junk compared to another brand I bought and
cut up to compare. Had to buy a used V8 to put in my van and we had to abort a
great spring ski trip.

No more orange for me. This happened around 1989 or 1990.

I suppose up could gut a filter and make it last forever.

Pete
