  Yes, do check that vac+pressure hose for the bypass valve very 
carefully. Most of it is usually hidden under  the heat shield and 
it's almost sure to be in bad condition (meaning boost leak) if not 
replaced in recent years. This rubber hose ends up (ultimately) 
clamped to a small nipple at the rear end of the intake manifold (and 
is obscured by the ISV and associated hoses).
