I had this problem in the first 50k with rebuilt rotors being
supplied by Audi. When I started buying my own rotors, the problem
disappeared. I'm guessing the rebuilts did not solve the problem as
they still had the problem. The new ones must have been engineered
differently. Never had the problem since with new rotors every other
set of pads.
