steering rack replacement

TREs? tire rod ends? I'll give it a go again tomorow. 
 "I don’t remember about  your boot  interface problem, but the solution should be obvious"
  Im almost certain that the boot fits over the nipples on the bracket, but im not sure if i manually have to slip them over or if by tightening the bracket down, does it pull the bracket into the boot.
