To remove the connector one must turn the reservoir over and pry up  
the two opposite side latches to free them for a straight pull out of  
the plug. When out, cut the latching bridge with a pair of dykes to  
weaken it for an easier next time.

The switch can also be pried out from its interference fit in the  
reservoir but no need, its bullet proof.  A sealed in glass magnetic  
reed switch. The switch switches fine when moving the magnetic float  
by inverting the reservoir, but apparently the float has become water  
logged and will no longer follow the fluid level!

Engine temp gauge works, so who needs a fluid level warning anyway.  
I’m leaving it unplugged to eliminate the flashing fluid level  
warning, which will will be still active on over temp, if the MFTS is  
good.

Buy a replacement reservoir! Why would anyone do that, if it’s only  
the sending float switch? Who needs a low level warning anyway, if  
the temp gauge works? I’m just trying to avoid disconnecting and  
removing the reservoir to fix the level sensor. BTDT many many years  
ago, but don’t remember the details (old fart’s disease).

The other recent problem was the over pressure relief valve in the  
cap. The valve assy is a snap together fit on the back of the valve  
plate which no longer holds its snap fit under pressure. A shim  
between the valve assy and the cap top prevents it from ever popping  
off again. See, no new cap needed!
