Very true and in this case it would cupped cause it's on a 3B motor.
I'd vote for the slide hammer method less mess and all.

The grease trick works as long as the bearing has a hole in the far end.
Some OEM bearings came formed as a cup without the hole in the end for the
grease to work its way behind the bearing. Those require a puller.
