Similarities US version Audi V8 and 220V

Most folks I know that take these motors as transplants do head work and don't mess with what aint broke. If theres evidence of bad rings you should do something.....i know of a lot of boat motor failures with rebuilds.....usually happens fairly quickly also.

If you mean that you're intending to rebuild the motor, don't- in
general, rebuilt car engines have a higher failure rate overall than
engines that haven't had their internals rebuilt.

If it works and performs well, I recommend leaving it alone.
