The *clutch* master cylinder is what they are talking about. On cars with
hydraulic clutches there is a master and slave connected by a hose, distinct
from the braking system master cylinder and 4 slave cylinders/calipers. Our
cars happen to share the brake fluid reservoir as the working fluid for both
systems, separate again from the hydraulic booster system running off the
"central hydraulic system" pump with the power steering.
