A/C Compressor Zener Diode to stop radio popping

The real concern, as Bernie says, is the possible damage to the ECU.
Typical symptom is a hesitation during acceleration. On my car, it was
quite violent, possibly partly because of my heavy foot--why elsae have a
20v?
It is NOT a sterio issue. It's the magnetic clutch on the A/C compressor
turning on and off with sudden surging of electrical power. The diode is
supposed to control that.

Not so! Any audio system is susceptible, as is the ECU and other
electronics. Fix the problem!
