Rear Wheel Bearing

Mike:

Rumbling noise which changes frequency at different speeds = wheel bearing.
Noise subject to turning/going straight - outer CV joint ( but 
typically front only)

I believe that my experience with a rear bearing failure was 
accelerated by a malfunctioning rear caliper parking brake mechanism 
which created substantially heating to the wheel hub. Of course AFTER 
I rebuilt the rear caliper and fixed the operation of the parking 
brake did I notice the wheel bearing noise....

I ended up removing the rear wheel hub assembly from the car and 
using a 12 ton press to remove and replace the bearing.
