Good point. That'll be important since she's going to be driving my Benz
until the V8 is roadworthy again.

And yes, the brakes on the W210 are good.  :-)  I just put on new rotors and
pads last month.

Next time you're out together, let her drive. Then watch her feet. She may
be a 
left-foot braker, and she may rest her left foot on the brake pedal while
she's 
driving.  Asking her won't work, since she'll know the right answer and
she'll 
say she doesn't do that.
