You don't need a procedure. You disconnect the ECU harness, look in
the Bentley at the wiring diagram for the pins/colors, and measure
while you or someone else messes with the throttle.
David: What codes are stored? What do you mean by "limp mode"? If
the sensor seems fine electrically, probably is. I once had a failed
wastegate frequency valve cause the ECU to throw a throttle position
sensor error....luckily it was before I bought the car, and a
dealership replaced it on the PO's tab. The WGFV can be checked by
resistance, I think normal is 100 Ohms, but check SJM's site or the
Bentley to be sure if you get a different value. Mine (failed)
measured several kohm I think.
