upper strut mounts

Just a heads up for any of you guys that might have your t44's or URS cars lowered (specifically for those of us who are moving to coilover suspensions), I am making some new upper strut mounts that take care of a few issues related to old, lowered Audi's. If you have one, you know that suspension travel is severely compromised when lowered. At the ride height that I am semi-happy with on my car, there is about 1.5" of travel for the struts. Its ridiculous, and earned me a nice bubble in the sidewall of one of my tires a month ago from a pavement change on the highway... ಠ_ಠ

So long story short, I'm designing and CNC machining some nice, new upper strut mounts that will increase suspension travel substantially. I'm thinking at least 2-3 more inches of travel are possible. We'll see when all is said and done of course. I'm not selling these, just designing some and will share the design with anyone in this community who would like to utilize it. They will utilize a spherical bearing and I'm going to be discussing the design with a PhD professor here at the University of Florida. He's the head of our top 10 in the world SAE team, so needless to say these are going to be properly engineered.

Just thought I'd let you guys know in case anyone has any interest or input to give. Hope everyone is having a good year so far and is enjoying their Audi's :)
