Broken Fuel line

Hello everyone.

I broke one of the hard fuel lines... I think its copper or stainless. It
is the line that clips to the firewall and connects to the steel braided
hoses going to the engine. The line broke inside the clip on the middle of
the firewall, not at the somewhat accessable clip near the power steering
hose connections to the rack where I was working. I put in a new P.S. hose
from the pump to the rack and this happened.

I have a few questions...

Where does this line go to and would it be a bad idea to try and splice
something in with compression fittings as couplings?

Any thoughts on how to attempt this fix? I can barely see where the line
broke, let alone get my hands in there.

Anyone have this issue or hear of it?

Thanks a lot

-Kev
