i think carsound makes cheap cats. though i think those are by magnaflow now?

though, you could use this as an excuse for an 034 turboback for $1,000 plus 
installation ;-)

my 200 just passed smog less than a year ago - barely hit 25% of allowable 
emissions. impressive. original cats, but it only had 116k on the clock at the 
time.

Subject: Catalytic Converters for 20V Avant

With the new California emissions standards and clamp down on cats, I need
advice on where to get new cats for my '91 200 Avant. 
All the cats on eBay are now illegal in CA.  Magnaflow lists two expensive
cats (36035 & 36922 at around $500 each) and the VWAudi OEM cats are $800
each.
