In May '09 I had two Carsound Magnaflow cats, P# 36035, installed in my 200q20v
for about $600. The car passed CA smog testing with ~ 5% of the allowable limit
for hydrocarbons @ about 215,000 miles.
The same shop will install one for $299 and both for $575.

I am closing in on the cats for the '91 Avant. Anybody have experience,
opinion, etc. re Magnafow or Benchmark? Keep in mind these need to CA
qualified cats and can't be used or junkers. I am out to not only get
through the smog inspection, but not have to worry about the cats failing in
the next few years. The original OE cats went for 16 years and 280,000
miles, and while I don't expect the same result, I would like to have a few
years on the new cats.
