I'd get rid of the blow off valve and put the normal bypass valve in place.
Pressure test the intake system for leaks.

Subject: 200 20V cut out , Stumble and Backfire

I'm trying to resolve some issues with my 200 20v 'project' that I picked
up two years ago. First off, the car has developed a cut out at low RPMs
while in first gear. This doesn't occur in other gears, possibly because of
higher engine speeds. I've discovered that reving to around 3k before taking
off in first is a good workaround. The car stumbles a little under mild
acceleration. I am also having problems with backfiring. It occurs when
backing off the throttle after accelerating. For the most part, it occurs
after hard accelerations.

Below are some of the items replaced recently.
Good used Fuel Pump
Bosch OEM plugs 3k miles ago
N75 valve
Intake pipe and Michelin man(Samco) hose - previous owner had installed
blow-off valve Turbo-MAf hose IC-Turbo Hose (Samco) BP valve Previous owner
replaced distributor.

The car is chipped and I haven't(next on the list) replaced the plug wires
or injectors...car seems to burn a lot of fuel. Engine has 180K miles.

With all the little problems, the car is still a blast to drive. Looking
forward to hitting VIR and Road Atlanta in it this year.

RS2 Turbo, EM, and 42LB injectors will go in after I get these issue
resolved.
