hard start issue

Good luck finding a direct fit pump, as far as I know the style has
changed. If you can get just the check valve it is pretty easy. (make sure tank
is near empty) Had to do my Avant outdoors with a full tank and a
-10 January day. The correct tool to twist lock the pump helps allot!
But is doable with out it.

doing a little more research,

it looks like you can access the fuel pump from trunk? so no need to pull
the
tank?

if so, that's a relief! i had to pull the fricken gas tank when i replaced
the
fuel pump on my old Ford Taurus SHO!

i'll let you all know what happens after we pressure test the fuel system
this
weekend.

if it is the pump - is the standard bosch still the best bet? has anybody
tried
a Walbro 255lph? that's a lot of flow - but i figure not a bad idea with
the 034
chip, eh? and it's a fair amount cheaper than the bosch pumps.

thanks,
Robby

question - even if it's the check valve - do you have to remove the fuel
pump to

replace it?

if so, isn't removing the fuel pump a serious pain in the ass? obviously,
 i'd
replace the pump while i'm in there...

weekend and

Possible fuel pump check valve.
Fuel leaks back to tank and has to be pumped back up.
