Euro lights install questions

I think my battery post had already been repositioned, but it looks like it
was simply removed and reattached by only one bolt.

For the side marker light, I basically ignored it on the corner and
converted the turn signal to a parking light/turn signal by getting a
different base from a junkyard Cabriolet and ran the corner light wire to
it.

 I finally found a very nice set of Euros and have a couple installation
questions.

What did clever ideas do you have for repositioning the battery post?

The spade fittings to attach power to the lights sound as if they're unique.
Are they and what did you use?

What should be done with the side marker light?

Any other thoughts that would help?
