3B engine replacement options for "Deerslayer" Frankenmotor

Basic mock up on stand has no clearance issues with 20V head. The pistons just don't
have the recesses, and they are not forged AFAIK, but I don't know if that is a big
problem or not for moderate power - under 350 HP/350lb-ft Torque.

Hey been, you should probably drop this by the guys at motorgeek. I don't believe the
domed pistons from the 10v block will work out with the 3b head, I haven't done any
looking for a long while but I believe that the deck height and the way the combustion
chambers are done you need very different pistons between a 20v block (3b or AAN) and a
10v.
You may check out a thread "20v on the cheap" at motorgeek, some guy figured out the
needed parts to use an MC block and 7a head, then turbo'd it. using pistons from
something else as well.
Either way, can't you just measure the distance from the deck to the top of one of the
pistons, and then figure out if that will work with the head? Such as you have a blown
3b, so if the distance from the deck to the piston is similar, then it should be within
the realm of possiblity, no?
