Jay, yes it is possible that the "Driver's" for the injectors in the ECU can "Fire" a "low load" Noid light / LED light & not be able to "Fire" a "high load" injector.
Hope you can borrow a ECU to test with...
Good luck, Randy

I got a nice little red 12v 20MA panel mount LED from Radio Shack today.
Plugged it into both #4 and #5 harness and I got a clear light when I turned
the ignition on and I got nice engine speed pulses when I started the car.
So now I am completely confused. Is it possible to have an injection signal
that is there but not high enough amperage to fire the injector? When I test
the injector on the bench it will not fire with the power supply on the 2A
setting but it will fire on the 6A setting. All the injectors fire and pass
fluid when I engage them.
Moderately baffled at this point. Can't make a decision to buy an ECU, can't
find the problem. Spark looks nice and strong and white on all the plugs.
I guess I am going back to check compression again. Front three firing fine.
Rear two if I pull the injector harness I get no change. I am getting "OK"
on the dash as well so I think that means the ECU is communicating and
happy.
I always get puzzles. Might be able to swap a brain to see if it makes any
difference tomorrow.
