rear main seal leak

Hi Bernie,

Yeah, I was going to mention that I did try some Rislone "rear main seal repair" (ha ha, good marketing name) treatment and so far is hasn't worked. I will try something else or try again before I go so far as to drop the tranny. BTDT on an '88 5ktq and it's a bit of a chore.

Is there any particular brand of snake oil you recommend besides that one?

What it might be is that the clutch was replaced and they botched the rear main seal install. Actually that doesn't seem likely as the PO family was more of the type to go to the dealer, I think. Perhaps when I inspect things more closely I'll find that it's coming from somewhere else nearby.

Cheers,

Kenneth
