power steering pumps: A1 Cardone versus ZF

Best writeup on pump disassembly I've read is in the '89-'91 Bentley.  
I've put some images starting at 
http://www.pbase.com/kneale_brownson/image/114727641.  Hit the "next" 
button four times for all of it.

I use an air impact with the drag link socket to pop off the mushroom 
caps rather than the "hammer" impact because I've found no way to hold 
the pump securely enough to "operate" the hand version.  I use a torque 
wrench to reinstall.
