Matt,

I have had the entire ETKA catalogue on CD for a long time. I think I am on
my third version of it. Very nice to have the dealers screen on my home
computer. That plus Bentley and all the forums and there is virtually no
part of the car stock or modified that can't be figured out.

I have never heard of ETKA for sale. But someone ported it for windoze and
it is all over the torrents. I think I got my original copy from an
independent wrench. I always go after part numbers and then cross them to
VAG online somehow and then find vendors that way. I also think that the
exploded views are way more helpful than the manuals. They aren't always
perfectly right but they are always helpful.

Now back to trying to piece wrecked brake lines back together to get
measurements for new ones. All rear brake lines out and gone finally.
Starting to put stuff back together with nice new cleaned and painted parts.
Soon, very soon, rolling again.

Lago Blue grey sport avant original 15" bbs unmolested stock beastie (except
UFOs gone way gone).

Subject: Audi Part Number Directory with Diagrams?

Hi guys. Quick question. When I need a part for my '95 525i, the first
place I go to is BMWfans.info or Realoem.com. After drilling down through
the menus, I'll arrive at a page like this:

http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E34/Sedan/USA/525i-M50/LHD/M/1995/april/br
owse/

where I can find the part I need graphically and check the interchange
between model years and models (really helpful for trips to the
pick-n-pull). Once I've got the part number, I plug it into the search
field of my favorite parts site, it comes up, I order it, and it's on its
way. No tedious descriptions to parts counter guys over the phone and
wondering if it's the right part, etc...

My question is: Is there an equivalent sort of site or directory for Audis?
In the case of my BMW, it's made repairs 10x more streamlined.

Thanks,

Matt
