No Boost Condition - Only Getting 1.0 Bar

Do the boost tester. When my turbo bypass valve failed (twice over 240k)
the car would kill at low speed while slowing down, you can test that with
one of those hand brake bleeder/vacuum pumps. Should pop open and closed
while holding pressure in the vacuum line. Check the vacuum line that feeds
it. They get brittle from manifold heat and brake, may as well check all
the little vacuum lines under the hood and the plastic connectors. I
finally just replace all of them and had no further problems. Also check the
rubber breather (or what ever it is called) behind the cylinder head. You
will find it. Also there are a couple of O-rings on the dip stick that
occasionally need replacing.

The boost test will make it obvious what is leaking, I would not put more
the 15 lbs pressure on it.

Good Luck!
Pete

Well, I managed to pull the fault code today for 4411, which appears to
indicate a
faulty fuel injector (or its circuit) for the No. 1 cylinder. Wonder if one
bad injector
or its circuit makes ECU to keep the boost to 1.0 maximum? Not so sure
about it.

Come to think of it, when I still owned this car in early 2010, it stalled
on me a
couple of times during a very light throttle or coasting. That could be
caused by
a faulty No. 1 cylinder injector, but I didn't have any problem with turbo
boost then.
So, the next step is to make a home-made boost leak tester. Stay tuned.

Mike: Thanks for your suggestion. I've done that, but absolutely no
change.

Adam: I haven't tried to pull codes before, but will do that this weekend.
I'm going to make a home-made LED lamps for it. Hope it works.

Thanks for the heads up. Shin
