Hello,

Just subscribed today.

I am in Vermont and have an original 1991 200 20v avant in lago blue with
medium grey sport seats, yadda.

Looking for people parting out cars. I am currently bringing this car back
after a 5 year sleep. It has 208k miles but is in good shape. I bought it
near 100k and drove it a lot before putting it away to build a house and
shop. Well, shop built, now this beast needs to be back. I am currently
going through the front end suspension and brakes to get rid of corrosion
and rebuild everything. Lots of blasting and repainting and rebuilding. I
did a G60 conversion years ago with parts from Dad's. Next is rear wheel
wells, complete disassembly and rebuild. Then I move to the engine
compartment and the rest of the systems. Some niggling things I need to find
are one of the ball joints for the rear hatch strut. Need a clipping from a
hatch to cut and weld in. Also need a rear brake proportioning valve or a
way to bypass. May need a clutch but I haven't gotten that far yet. We will
be trying to get the car back to operational first and I am hoping for no
engine out procedures at this point. That can come later assuming the thing
comes back and is moderately reliable. I just want it back. I miss it.
Amazingly brutal machine cloaked in a nice calm suburban exterior.... The
ultimate sleeper. 

Other cars: 2002 A6 sport 2.7t 6 spd sophisticated screamer, 79 928 5 spd
slightly tweaked, 2002 Disco 2 with everything working at the moment... Yes
I am a glutton for maintenance punishment.
