200q20v Eye & Ear Candy

yeah, and i knew i wasn't getting that great a deal for $2,800. but there's also the reason why many 200q20v's are so cheap - because mostly just the worn out ones are up for sale. most of the super clean examples are still providing their owners with wide grins ;-)
Matt, i think the main reason why my car was such a little b*tch is because it wasn't driven all that much. hoses and seals rot when the car just sits. especially outside (even if we are talking mild california weather).
the previous owner was definitely not out to screw me. but he only drove the car about 10,000 miles in 4 years so it still seemed pretty solid to him.
it's not necessarily the money keeping me from just painting the damn thing. it's that things of this nature are always more of a hassle than you think they'll be.
pulling all the trim, headlights, tails, grill, etc. THEN, having the body shop say shit like "oh, we found some bondo and rust... and oh, this is all fucked up, and oh wait, we found that, etc." i'm not in the mood for all that right now.
but yeah - oceanic, V8 tails, euros, turboback, tinted windows. that's a recipe for a tasty lookin' 200q20v ;-)

Robby, your tale is a cautionary one for me not to get a cheaper
example just to get myself into one quickly. It's good to be reminded
of that. :) Can't wait to see yours when you get it painted, too.
Brian, what are you driving these days?
