Brake lines 200 20V

Yup,
Just realized that there is a tee back there already. So if that is
salvageable by sand blaster I might only need one union to patch in the new
lines. I was reading one forum where they were discussion the rear brake
circuit in these cars and the participants were scratching their heads over
the rear brake pressure limiter because it is only in line on the right side
of the car. What is astounding is that Audi put both a squat proportioning
valve on AND a pressure limiting valve (that one I understand but they are
normally up front at the MC port) AND all wheel ABS. Seems pick any two of
the above list would have been enough overkill which leads me to believe
that the parts were sort of added during different technological epochs and
nobody ever thought to remove anything when adding the next. Either that or
there is some combo of liability that the lawyers wanted them to cover to
death.
My current plan is to buy two equal length lines to run across the rear
crossmember and reuse the tee and then use a straight female connector to
patch to the line coming in from the front to the height valve. Plenty of
brackets and clips to use and very little bending.
jfk

And, if you just need a simple T block, the 4000Q's use one in the rear. Not
sure if that is of any help, but there it is......

Just talked to the guys at my local NAPA and they have premade Euro OEM
brake lines in lengths from 8" to 60" and female tees and straights to use
to bypass all that junk if I choose to do that. I am mostly on the side of
getting rid of things that get in the way of braking. I used there stuff to
do one repair years ago. That is the only line back there that is still
looking OK.
The yoke on my car is not going to come off without a Sawzall, which is what
I am looking at. I could probably sneak a Dremel up there for the cut but I
am going to cut the exhaust and remove a bunch of stuff just so I can get at
some things that need to be removed, cleaned, painted...
