radiator replacement

Thanks for the help. I've just been getting frustrated with having all of the shops/online stores quoting me the 10v one and me having to explain the aux fittings. I was going to reach out to force5 or Shokan once I exhausted my options on a new one.
I've read on the other forums of people using the 10v w/out the aux cooler but wasn't sure if that was an effective alternative.
Pete

The comment about parts vendors not knowing about the difference in the 1991 200q radiator is right on.
When my radiator went, i ordered a new radiator on line...and when I received it I realized it did tno have the extra fiittings needed to link in the aux radiator. Wanting to get my car back on the road I just bolted the incorrect radiator on, fuguring if it began to run hotter, it would not be such a bad thing, since my car was always starved for heat in the usual Michigan winter.
I kept the incorrect radiator for four more years.....never had any overheating...and the car continued to starve for heat in the winter....so I beleive I never noticed the lack of the auxilary radiator. YMMV, I live in Michigan, where the summers are never too hot...

I've tried about 8 different online/local shops and they all say the 20v version is no longer available. Even tried Audi direct. Most places can't even distinguish between the 10v and the 20v when I call and it's getting frustrating. Are there other makes/models that work? The current rad lasted 22 years :)
