relaying fuel pump

Hi All,

While chasing down an issue on my Avant, I measured the voltage at the 4 or 5 pin connector just outside the fuel tank.

With the car idling, there was 13.7 Volts at the battery, but only 12.7 Volts at the connector. That can't be good!

Since the battery is right there, it is easy to to get pretty much direct battery power to the pump.

I had seen that the adaptation channel for fuel trim on VAG-COM was out of spec on the lean side, so relaying the pump and a new fuel filter, along with cleaning a few grounds were the initial steps.

The car is noticeably better already.

Cheers,
Brady
