cruise control stopped working

A couple of off-the-wall things are the speed signal from the rear diff lock
button, a bouncy speedo needle, and I think, a problem with the
multi-function temp switch, or maybe that's something that can cause the a/c
not to work.  Did you check both clutch and brake pedals?

Are there any diagnostic instructions? SJM site mentions vacuum switches
only. Mine are in place and appear to work.
