Craig,

Light must stay for about 10 seconds to indicate that 1. light bulb is
working and 2. give controller a chance to perform all connectivity
tests.

find someone with a vag-com, check airbag module codes and go from
there. When local mechanic destroyed my clock spring I got a used
steering wheel from force5 and reset the code. Works fine since.

Eugene.

I take that to be something different than one that stays on all the time, and that when it's off the airbag presumably would function. Is there any information about what it "means" if the light comes on at first but always eventually goes out? I mean, is there a "fix" for it, etc.?
