Rear diff input shaft seal

Bob, the procedure is in the bentley volume 2 section 39-200. I changed the seal on my 5ktq wagon and a press is required. A new seal can be had for $11 no need to buy the one from the dealer pn# 017525275B at www.gowestyautoparts.com just read their return policy IE make sure you know what you are ordering. Changing the bearing at the same time would be prudent(016311235)  2  new + screws ( N0331941) from the dealer that hold cover on will probably be needed and an impact strike w/ hammer screw driver to remove the old ones. The o-ring was not needed in my case. There's always Bernie's method as long as the fill plug/drain plugs come out in my case my mig welder was necessary. Weld spare wheel lug to fill plug and use bolt out or 12 point socket hammered on the the threads of the wheel lug. I did this all on my work bench while replacing the gas tank so more parts where need to put it back in cross member bushings new bolts etc.
