Ed-

I went though similar with my beloved Avant six years ago. Front stop, light goes green, cars move forward in a dedicated right turn lane (Aviation to PCHY, Redondo Beach), let the clutch out, look left, BAAM! Asshole in front of me jammed brakes. WTF! It took me a day to get the taste out of my mouth from the talc in the bag, and ringing in the ears, but left hand index finger knuckle that broke the windshield took a few more days to recover (no, never went to doctor, knew the recovery drill...). Steering column collapsed, rack and pinion gone, right front head light, and fender damage, other shit, but now the rock fight begins with insurance company. IF NOT TOTALED, how do repairs happen on a car that few understand, parts rare? I won't bore all here of my process forward but please call me if you want: I saved this beautiful car, and even improved it, from the accident - with much hands-on work and teamwork with with my mechanic (yeah, you must have one, an honest one, to afford these very Special machines).

Keep the faith and The Avant!
