Throw Out Bearing Kaput

Throw out bearing going before the clutch is actually common for Audi.
It is because of that plastic sleeve the bearing slides on.

I've had to replace the clutch prematurely on 3 of my cars due to the
throw out bearing.

Make sure you order that part as well when buying the clutch parts.
You also want to make sure the replacement is metal not plastic.

While you are in there, I would replace the pilot bearing too.
