91 200Q Avant HVAC issues

I have a very nice rust-free, all original 91' Avant in Pearl over black
leather that I'm struggling to keep on the road, despite Audi's total
abandonment of the model (can't even get critical radiator hoses for this
car!).  Current issue: the HVAC system gets flakier and flakier day by day
which is critical to human comfort (R-12 A/C now in-op. heater controls
intermittent and heater motor noisy).  Looking for solutions to rebuild the
entire HVAC system despite advice to just let it go and buy a Subaru.
Nothing doing!  Any help to source HVAC parts would be appreciated in order
to keep this fair lady on the road.  Thanks much!
