So, in the midst of bringing my 200 20V back to life (go through this every
few years!) and need to do something about the UFO's (Now that I have full
boost, new struts and in the midst of needing new clutch!). Set of rotors
were replaced several years ago, but are again somewhat warped. Have tried
the Italian tune-up, but hasn't really helped all that much. Getting tired
of the pedal shake etc. Tried turning them in the past on a lathe (last set)
but turning doesn't take out the "hot spots". Been driving this car since 06
and while the UFO's last, warpage has been a issue all along!
Have followed the HP2 conversions in the past and seems do-able. Eying a set
of cheap HP2's, but a little concerned with wheel choices! Have a brand new
set of Pirellis on S6 Avus wheels, and not interested in moving to 17"
wheels. Roads in upstate NY are horrendous and have replaced numerous
customer wheels due to pot holes and low pro tires!
Will the Avus 16" URS6 wheels fit over HP2's (B5 S4)? Have seen some
conflicting information?
Realize this is more of a MG thing, but believe there's quite a few listers
involved on both sites!
